Book 4: Hex Hall

4 Dec

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

Okay a novel about a teenage witch coming into her powers, while “imprisoned” in a reformed school, sounds like a book that should tickle my fancy. But I found this to be kinda bleh. I never really felt a “aha this is my kinda book” moment. Sophie and Archer, bleh didn’t really feel their chemistry, I am much more interested in Cal, and his groundskeeper look and the like 10 words he exchanged with Sophie. But it’s the first novel of a trilogy, so I shall continue on.

“… seem to have bonded enough to fight, which is a pretty important part of the girl-friendship thing.” (40) ain’t it sisterfriend.
