Book 54: The Naming

thenamingThe Naming (The Books of Pellinor #1 ) by Alison Croggon

Woo this book was a doozy, how much you can fit in 489 pages. I’m slightly put off about the overtones with the relationship between Maerad and Cadvan, but otherwise enjoyed the story. The story was rich with description, more rich than I’m used to, but still very nice. Maerad did not annoy me at all (unlike other girl-saviors in their stories) and she was suspicious, and questioning, exactly what I would shout at other characters! There was simply too much that went on, but my favorite scene is when they are ambushed at Broken Teeth, and bam wam slam, we get Hull slaying Maerad. 🙂
