Book 45: The Iron King

28 May

theironkingThe Iron King (The Iron Fey #1) by Julie Kagawa

I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. I was very impressed with faeryland and all that it encompasses. The love story (and triangle) didn’t really draw me in. Now I love me those brooding, silent, heart as cold as ice guys, but I didn’t feel the chemistry. And I think I’ve been to use to strong-willed females that Meghan was more tame than I’m used to. But she did pull through at the end, I liked how she commanded the roots to constrict the Iron King, and very dramatically stabbed him with the Witchwood, that was a beautiful scene. Hopefully when she is dragged into the Unseelie Court, she’ll walk in with loads of dignity and sass.

Waitlisting at the Library

13 Apr

Fluffies,

I love the Library.  Free books to read, comfy chairs, open for hours upon hours = golden.  Another function that I totally love is the “hold” option on books. It’s basically a waitlist, but it guarantees that you can read the book at some point.  Anyways just wanted to show some appreciation for it, and share with ya’ll some of the books I’m on hold for.  waitlistingpng
